No. It is not easy or fast to achieve. Sustainable development is hardcore.

The SDG, the green growth or sustainable development on its own. They are what I called fake news. Why? Because no one has achieved it and we all treat it like it is easy. No. Sustainable development is basically hardcore because for it to happen we need a systemic change, a police shift driven by science and climate scientist taking into consideration the planetary boundaries. However, it is hard to achieve if we just but both words together, because development is one thing, but adding sustainable into the equation changes everything. Many countries have developed themselves, so there are many precedents on where to go, which road to take and what to prioritize. However, a development which is sustainable has not even a clear definition. So, it will not be easy, it will not be fast and certainly, it will change a few things. No country has development themself in a sustainable way not even the countries in the far north of Europe like Norway, Denmark or Finland. Therefore, to achieve a sustainable development we need to separate both words and start recognizing which countries are develop in a sustainable way, which are not develop sustainably and which are developing sustainably and which are not. This answer lies in the doughnut model, but that is another topic ;)
